Southern folk artist, Kelley Bentley Ash was born in northern Alabama in 1972. Growing up on her grandparents farm she realized that drawing helped the long hot summer days of pure boredom pass by. After moving to Roswell,GA and attending Crestwood High School, she attended Georgia Southern University. She pledged Kappa Delta Sorority and graduated with Interior Design degree.

After almost dying back in 2003 from the HELLP Syndrome while pregnant with my son, I decided to start selling my work in order to afford only the necessities to stay at home with my premature son. The business has grown to what it is today as a full time career. I have collectors from Puerto Rico,Washington, New York, Illinois,Arizona,California, and of course the good ole south. My work was recently featured in Paula Dean's magazine "Cooking with Paula" and I have had installations in designer showhomes including the fabulous Montaluce in Dahlonega, Georgia. I paint what makes me motivated and excited. I have friends that have said " why don't you paint lighthouses or college logos, something everyone likes? And I just say to them you just don't get it, that's not me. So, no I don't paint nascar, lighthouses, magnolias,or for crying out loud college logos. But if you do fancy my work I would love for you to have a piece. It makes my blood pressure rise(in a good way) to know that my work is in your house and you look at it everyday and by doing that I am in some way a part of your life. Our life is merely a spec in what God has planned for us in eternity. So until then I hope you enjoy my art, remember you can't take it with you when you die but if you wind up in heaven, find me and I can paint you another one for free.
